ACCESSIBLE PARKING

There is limited parking for those with disabilities available on a first-come, first-served basis in the lot adjacent to the City Park Pavilion (see the map below). You must have a valid license plate, placard, or hang tag in order to access it. Please understand that there are a limited number of spaces available; we recommend arriving at least 90 minutes prior to showtime to have a better chance of securing a spot. There is a paved pathway from the lot to the pavilion plaza and down to the food truck row as well.

Drop-Off Information

For guests who need to be dropped off close to the event, the primary drop-off location is located north of the pavilion in the designated accessible parking lot. This area provides the most convenient access point for individuals with mobility needs or those who benefit from shorter walking distances.

Nearby, you’ll find ramped access points for safe and easy entry into the event area. These ramps are located close to some of the portable restrooms, including accessible units.

Event staff will be available in the area to assist with directions or mobility-related questions. We ask that vehicles using the drop-off zone move promptly to parking after assisting their passengers to help keep the area clear and safe for others.

AMERICAN SIGN LANGUAGE INTERPRETERS

Beginning in 2022, City Park Jazz introduced ASL interpreters to our programming lineup for every show. These amazing people brought a level of intricate performance quality to the stage, ehnacing our programming for those who are deaf or hard-of-hearing. Our ASL team is provided by FLOW Performance Sign Language Interpreters.

Wheelchair Accessibility

We strive to make our event welcoming and accessible for all guests, including those using wheelchairs or other mobility devices.

There are viewing areas near the pavilion that offer good sightlines to the stage while remaining set back from major walkways to help minimize crowd congestion and ensure a more comfortable experience. These spots are on level ground and are intended to provide better visibility and ease of movement for wheelchair users and their companions.

While the event is held outdoors in City Park, most primary paths and open areas are accessible via paved or compacted surfaces. Please note that weather conditions may affect terrain in some grassy areas.

Sensory Friendly Areas

While there are no designated sensory-friendly areas at this event, the layout of City Park offers plenty of opportunities to find quieter, less stimulating spaces. Guests who may need a break from the music, crowds, or general sensory input are welcome to explore the open areas away from the stage and main pavilion.

Some suggested areas include behind the pavilion, along the lake shore, and back into the park.
